Empowering Lives Through Faith-Based Programs and Support

Under this program, there are two projects, first is KIM Scholarship Foundation and second is Eradication of malnutrition for the children under five years old.

Kim Scholarship Foundation

The foundation was founded and named after Rev Dr. Heung Soo Kim, Korean-American missionary that have contributed a lot on Rwandan youth and young people development. The Foundation was founded with Motto “Education is the key to break the circle of poverty” with the aim of changing the lives of smart/intelligent poor and vulnerable children that have dropped the school or facing financial difficulties, who have lost the hope of their lives and their future, KSF enabled disadvantaged children in Rwanda to reach their full potential through receiving a quality education relevant to their needs.

Kim Scholarship Foundation have now in the program twenty one (21) students in different levels; 7 Students in University, 7 Students in High (secondary) school, 7 Students in Primary School, all the Students had to scrore more than 70% to remain in the program as a great tool of motivating them to have a great performance and motivate them to deam big in their lives.

KSF have helped the Students in two academic years, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. The student did well in this past academic year, and are ready to start a third academic year as it is the final year for the University Students and a continuing journey to their sixth years of academics for High school and primary school students.

Education and Child Empowerment Program

Eradication of Malnutrition Project

The project “Eradicating of malnutrition for the children under 5 years old “main goals is to fight against the malnutrition and investing a lot of effort to eradicate it for the children under five years old. The project had objectives of; 1. Decrease the number of children under 5 years old with malnutrition in Cyaruzinge cell. 2. Improve health conditions of the children by feeding and medical follow up till the child get 5 years old and off the danger 3. Enhance the nutrition knowledge of the mothers to facilitate in malnutrition eradication. 4. Advocate and advise the family on income generating activities to break the circle of poverty so that no other malnutrition case in the same family.

The Objectives of the project have to be achieved by conducting the following activities; 1. To Identify and select possible number of Children under five years old with malnutrition problems according to the available funds. 2. Feed the selected children five days per week. 3. Medical follow up for the children under the project at Nanuri Hospital and receive treatment in case they get sick during the process. 4. Have regular follow up on the health improvement of the selected children by measuring their weight and height every week. 5. Raise the awareness and train the women/Mothers on how to prepare the nutrient meals with available food in their villages. 6. Educate the families (Women/Mothers) on how to start income generating activities in their villages. The project budget is huge, but the ministry started the project with only five children as a pilot study and preparing to launch the project when we get enough funds.

Hospital Project

The project aims to provide high-quality health services free of charge to vulnerable individuals in Kigali City. The hospital project was initiated in 2021 and continues to operate successfully. NMCM have an MoU with a Nanuri Medical Center Ltd a Korean specialized clinic, where the ministry sends the poor and vulnerable people who are sick to be treated for free of charge, we do so by providing the tickets for both ways and lunch fees of three thousand (Rwf 3 000 almost equal to $3) for any poor patient from their location (their residents) to Nanuri Medica Center Ltd. So far, the program has helped more than four thousand (4000) poor and vulnerable people.

The Ministry needs more hands, Advices Financial Support and any others non-financial support that can help to achieve the goal.
